What we find when we audit local businesses
Of 55 local businesses we checked in September 2026. Names left out.
- 50 of 55 had no questions and answers marked up in their code for AI tools to read
- 30 of 55 had nothing in their code saying they're a local business at an address
- 21 of 55 had no structured data at all, so Google and AI tools had to guess what the business is
Each site was crawled once. National chains, parked domains and sites that didn't load were left out, and each website was counted once.

On September 24, 2026 it picked this homepage as the page that matters most. Over the previous three months it had 690 Google impressions at an average position of 10.3, and brought in 22 of the site's 48 clicks.
It recommended one change: track calls and form requests as named events, so every change after it can be measured. That tracking is part of this rebuild.
