Dental marketing for practices patients can find on Google and in AI answers

17 of 18 Dallas-Fort Worth dental practice websites we audited, September 22 to 24, 2026, had no FAQ markup. So when a patient asks an AI tool which practice takes their insurance or sees emergencies, those sites have nothing marked up as an answer. We fix that, and the rest of what sits between a search and a booked appointment.

What we found on 18 practice websites

  • 17 of 18 had no FAQ markup.
  • 6 of 18 had nothing in their code saying they're a dental practice at an address.
  • 5 of 18 had no structured data at all.

Website crawls (up to 8 pages each) of 18 general, pediatric and orthodontic practice websites across Dallas-Fort Worth, September 22 to 24, 2026. One parked domain left out. Practices are not named.

From a search to a booked appointment

  1. A patient searches or asks an AI tool for a dentist nearby
  2. Google shows the map results and the AI tool names a few practices: Your practice isn't named when your site's code doesn't say you're a dental practice at an address.
  3. They open your site
  4. They look for the treatment, their insurance and your hours: The answer isn't on the page, so they go back to the list.
  5. They call or book online: After hours, a phone number with no booking link or form is a dead end.
  6. Appointment booked

What patients search

Plain questions: a dentist near them, open Saturday, that takes their insurance, that does implants or Invisalign. Some now type the same question into ChatGPT as a full sentence.

What AI answers

A short list of practices with a line on each. The tools build that list from what they can read: Google Maps, directories, reviews and practice websites. If your site doesn't say it clearly, the list gets built from what other sites say about you.

What we fix

We add the code that tells Google you're a dental practice, where you are and when you're open. We answer the questions patients ask on your treatment pages and mark them up. We get every listing showing the same name, address and phone. Then every month we ask the AI tools the same questions and record who they name.

How the three parts apply to a practice

Websites

Treatment pages that answer patients' questions, and booking that works on a phone at night.

SEO and GEO

The practice named on Google Maps and in AI answers for the treatments you want more of.

AI automations

Replies to booking questions and new-patient inquiries that go out without the front desk stopping.

Questions from practice owners

How do patients find a dentist in AI answers?

They ask a tool like ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity a plain question, such as which dentist nearby takes their insurance. The tool answers with a short list of practices, built from what it can read on Google Maps, directories, reviews and practice websites. A practice whose site states its services, location and answers clearly gives the tool something of its own to repeat.

What does a dental website need so Google reads it as a practice?

Dentist markup in the site's code with the practice name, address, phone, hours and the areas you serve, matching your Google Business Profile exactly. Then a page for each main treatment, with the questions patients ask answered on it. You can check the markup yourself with Google's free Rich Results Test.

What does the $150 audit check for a practice?

Your Google Business Profile and reviews, where you show up on Maps, whether Google can read and index your most important treatment page, how that page works on a phone, and whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity name your practice when a patient asks. We then walk you through every finding on a 45-minute call.
