Roofing SEO in Dallas-Fort Worth: be ready before the peak
Roofing SEO is the work of making a roofing company easy to find on Google and in AI answers when a homeowner searches. In Dallas-Fort Worth that demand is uneven: in Google Ads data pulled on 14 October 2026, searches for "roofing contractor" made from Dallas ran at 480 a month from October to December 2025 and reached 2,400 in August 2026.
A click on "roof replacement" from Dallas averaged $215.03, so a missed season is expensive. NIXAR is a Frisco agency that does SEO and AI visibility for local businesses. This page shows the numbers and what we would do, and when.

Where roofers lose the search in DFW
Three gaps, each taken from the data further down this page.
They start after the season has started
In Google Ads data pulled on 14 October 2026, searches for "roofing contractor" made from Dallas were 480 a month in October 2025 and 2,400 in August 2026. Pages and reviews finished in August compete with everyone else's August. Work finished in the winter does not.
They treat every roofing search as one search
In October 2026 the same data showed $27.25 a click for "roofing contractor" from Dallas and $215.03 for "roof replacement". One "roofing services" page does not answer a repair, a replacement and an insurance claim.
Their proof is thin where Google looks
On 14 October 2026, the map packs Google showed for "roofing contractor" in Dallas and Fort Worth held six businesses rated 4.9 to 5.0, with 41 to 702 Google reviews. A roofer who asks every customer after every job builds that count in the open, with no gating.
Month by month: when homeowners search
Monthly Google Ads searches made from Dallas and Fort Worth, October 2025 to September 2026, pulled 14 October 2026. Counts under 50 are noisy, so they show as fewer than 50.

| Jul 2026 | 1,300 | 480 | 170 | 390 | 320 | 170 |
| Aug 2026 | 2,400 | 480 | 720 | 320 | 260 | 110 |
| Sep 2026 | 1,900 | 1,000 | 390 | 590 | 590 | 210 |
- In Dallas, searches for "roofing contractor" were 480 a month from October to December 2025, 720 in February and March 2026, 1,300 in April and 2,400 in August. August and September 2026 together were 4,300 of the 12,250 searches over the twelve months, about 35%.
- "Roof repair" searched from Dallas peaked at 1,000 in September 2026, against 260 in October and November 2025. "Roof replacement" peaked at 720 in August 2026, against 110 in November 2025.
- Fort Worth moves differently. "Roofing contractor" searched from Fort Worth was 590 in September 2026 and between 210 and 480 in every other month. "Roof repair" from Fort Worth was 1,300 in October 2025 and 140 to 590 in every month after.
What the calendar means for the work
Demand in Dallas climbed before it peaked: 480 in the winter, 720 by February, 1,300 by April, 2,400 by August.
This is one twelve-month pull. It shows when searches moved, not that they will move the same way next year, and Google Ads counts searches, not storms.
For the storms themselves, we pulled the preliminary storm reports logged by NOAA's Storm Prediction Center (retrieved 14 October 2026) for Dallas and Tarrant counties, Texas, from 1 January to 13 October 2026. Hail was reported on 11 report days, with the largest reported size on each: 4 March (1.25 inches), 25 April (3 inches), 27 April (2), 28 April (1.25), 22 May (1.5), 25 May (1), 2 June (1.5), 6 June (1.25), 26 August (1.5), 11 September (1.75) and 21 September (1). The 3-inch report, near Azle in Tarrant County on 25 April, came from a social media photo. Three of the 11 days fall in April, the month searches for "roofing contractor" from Dallas reached 1,300; August, the month of the 2,400 peak, has one report day. The two series do not line up neatly. SPC report days run from 12:00 to 12:00 UTC, so a storm after midnight counts under the evening before, and all of these reports are preliminary.
What a roofing customer's click costs in DFW
CPC is the average cost per click advertisers paid Google. A high CPC means advertisers think a lead from that search is worth a lot. Volumes are searches made inside each city. $0 means Google reported no figure.
| Search | Dallas searches a month | Dallas CPC | Fort Worth searches a month | Fort Worth CPC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| roofing contractor | 1,000 | $27.25 | 390 | $8.61 |
| roofing company | 720 | $21.08 | 390 | $33.68 |
| roof repair | 480 | $36.20 | 320 | $67.53 |
| roof replacement | 260 | $215.03 | 90 | $0 |
- In October 2026, Google Ads data showed 1,000 monthly searches for "roofing contractor" made from Dallas at an average of $27.25 a click, and 390 made from Fort Worth at $8.61.
- Suburbs are smaller. "Roofing contractor" made from Plano was 140 a month at $51.91 a click, and "roof repair" made from Lewisville was 110 a month at $58.14.
- DataForSEO Labs data for the whole US in October 2026 showed 2,400 monthly searches for "roofing seo" at $40.72 a click, and 590 for "roofing marketing" at $49.17. Labs groups close spellings, so "roofer seo" and "seo for roofing" show the same 2,400 and count as one pool.
What ranks for "roofing seo" and what a homeowner sees
On 14 October 2026, Google results for "roofing seo" searched from Dallas were agency pages and guides: choicelocal.com, backlinko.com and broadly.com among them. The AI Overview named a Google Business Profile, local keywords and service and location pages as core pieces.
We read the top three the same day. ChoiceLocal's is an agency page of roughly 700 to 800 words, with no reviews shown and no FAQ, that mentions storm demand and seasonality once in general terms. Backlinko's is a long guide with no section on seasonality or storms. Broadly's is a blog post that mentions neither, nor Texas or Dallas. None had Dallas-Fort Worth search data.
For roofing-marketing searches from Dallas, the map packs as of Oct 14, 2026 were:
- "roofing seo": Roofing Webmasters (4.5, 86 reviews), SEI Roofing (4.9, 138) and one other business (5, 274).
- "roofing seo dallas": Roofing Webmasters (4.5, 86), SEI Roofing (4.9, 138) and one other business (5, 166).
For homeowners, Google's results on 14 October 2026 for "roofing contractor" looked like this.
- Dallas map pack: three roofers rated 4.9 to 5.0, with 104 to 702 Google reviews.
- Fort Worth map pack: three roofers, all rated 5.0, with 41 to 323 Google reviews.
Directories held several organic spots. In Dallas, four directory, review or lead-generation sites were in the top 10; in Fort Worth, four directory, review or social sites were, with a roofing manufacturer's site first. Every map-pack roofer in both cities had a rating of 4.9 or 5.0. People Also Ask in both cities led with prices and rules of thumb, such as "Is $30,000 too much for a roof?", which a roofer's page can answer without quoting a price.
What AI assistants named for roofing marketing
On 14 October 2026 we asked ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, each with web search on: "What is the best marketing agency for roofing companies in Dallas-Fort Worth? Name specific companies." Twelve agencies were named across the three answers. Four are named on this page; the other eight were each named once.
ChatGPT
Named four agencies, including DM Marketing and Zentora, and said no single agency is best for every roofer.
Perplexity
Named six agencies, including DM Marketing, Su Vista, Roofing Webmasters and Zentora Digital Marketing.
Gemini
Named five agencies, including Su Vista Marketing.
Three names appeared in more than one answer: DM Marketing in ChatGPT and Perplexity, Su Vista in Perplexity and Gemini, and Zentora in ChatGPT and Perplexity.
ChatGPT and Perplexity both credited DM Marketing for treating storm and insurance demand separately from steady retail repair and replacement. Perplexity also warned that marketing claims in this sector are often self-reported. NIXAR repeats none of them here.
This pull asked about agencies. It did not ask who an assistant recommends to a homeowner who needs a roof, so we report nothing on that yet.
Businesses are named as they appeared as of Oct 14, 2026. Search results and AI answers change often: this is a dated snapshot, not a ranking or a judgment of anyone named.
How a roofer does this without a template
Four jobs, in the order we would do them.
Service-area pages that are not city swaps
A Plano page that is the Dallas page with the city name changed is a doorway page, and we will not build one. A service-area page earns its place from what only that area has: jobs you did there and the roof types you see.
Demand tells you where to start. "Roofing contractor" searched from Dallas was 1,000 a month in the Google Ads pull and from Fort Worth 390. Lewisville and Plano were 140 each, and each of the other 11 cities in the pull showed 90 or fewer. A DFW roofer might start its service-area pages with Dallas, Frisco, Fort Worth, Plano, Addison and Mesquite. Addison and Mesquite were not in the pull, so check them against your own call log.
Storm and insurance-claim content
Write the page a homeowner needs the week after hail: how to document damage, what an inspection covers, what happens at an adjuster visit. Promise no claim outcome, and keep it apart from your repair and replacement pages, as the assistants' answers did.
The Texas Department of Insurance has the outline in its hail guidance, last updated 9 December 2025 and read on 14 October 2026: take photos and video of the damage, keep damaged items until the insurer says otherwise, cover holes and keep receipts for temporary repairs, be available for the adjuster visit, and get more than one estimate. It also states that it is illegal for a contractor to waive a deductible, so a roofer's page should never offer to.
Reviews from every customer
Ask every customer after every job, in the same words, by text or email. Do not ask only the happy ones or route unhappy ones away from the review link. Send low scores to a person on your team who calls back. The FTC's 2024 rule bans fake reviews and testimonials.
Photos of real jobs
Use real project photos on the matching service page, with the city in the caption and descriptive alt text. For a business with a verifiable address, post them to the Business Profile every week too. Google's AI Overview for "roofing seo" on 14 October 2026 listed weekly project photos among the profile basics.
Your first 90 days, set against the season
The calendar decides the order. This is a plan, not a record of work NIXAR has done for a roofing company. Here is the order if the work starts in the quiet months, and what changes if it starts close to a peak.
Weeks 1 to 2: baseline and tracking
Audit the site and what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini say to a homeowner's questions. For a business with a verifiable address, audit the Business Profile too. Set up Search Console and call tracking. Start asking every customer for a review.
Weeks 3 to 6: the pages that carry the money
Fix site speed, then publish the repair page, the replacement page and the storm and claim guide, plus two or three service-area pages. Replacement has the highest CPC of the four searches in Dallas, so it gets the most careful page.
Weeks 7 to 10: profile and entity work
Keep the business name and phone identical everywhere. For a business with a verifiable address, also set categories and services on the Business Profile and post weekly job photos.
Weeks 11 to 12: re-check and plan the peak
Re-run the assistant questions, compare with week 1 and read the lead log.
If the 90 days start in October, they run through the quietest months in the data: 480 searches a month for "roofing contractor" from Dallas in October to December 2025. The pages are live before the 720 of February and the 1,300 of April. If they start in July, the peak is weeks away: do reviews and the replacement page first, and the Business Profile if you have a verifiable address.
What NIXAR has and has not done
NIXAR has built websites for home-service businesses, including Premium Seamless Gutters, Quest Exteriors, Bedrock Water and SYB Builders. That is website work. NIXAR has no roofing client and no roofing results to show, and this page claims none. In that work, owners wanted to understand why a new site would do better than their old one, and many had dated or generic template sites that only existing customers ever saw. Trust came from explaining how getting found has changed, with Google and AI answers, and why a site is designed around the company instead of a generic template.
If you run several trades, the wider guide is home services marketing. The service behind this page is AI SEO and GEO.
Roofing SEO, questions answered
When do homeowners in Dallas search for roofers the most?
In Google Ads data pulled on 14 October 2026, searches for "roofing contractor" made from Dallas were highest in August 2026 at 2,400 a month, against 480 a month from October to December 2025. What is the best marketing for a roofing company?
For a business with a verifiable address, a Business Profile with steady reviews and job photos. For any roofer, a site with separate repair, replacement and storm-claim pages, and tracking that ties each call to its source. Google's AI Overview for "roofing seo" on 14 October 2026 called the profile and map pack the most important lead source.
What is the best way to advertise my roofing company?

What does a roofing marketing agency do?
Google's AI Overview for "roofing marketing agency" on 14 October 2026 listed local SEO and Business Profile work, Google Ads and Local Services Ads, website design, review management and lead tracking.

For a business with a verifiable address, yes, if you want the map pack. The "roofing contractor" map packs Google showed in Dallas and Fort Worth on 14 October 2026 held six roofers rated 4.9 to 5.0, with 41 to 702 reviews.
Does NIXAR do roofing SEO?
NIXAR does SEO and AI visibility work for local businesses in Dallas-Fort Worth and has built websites for home-service businesses. It has no roofing client and no roofing results to show, so this page gives you data and a plan, not a case study. The first step is the visibility audit.
